Great stuff. Beef wellington was perfect. Wine selection good. Coffee perfect. Decent dining area. Staff courteous and attentive. outdoor dining lacks ambience. Needs shade and more planting.

I have eaten here many many many times over the last 4 years. The food is extremely delicious and very consistent, and the drinks are always very well made. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming. With that said a few of the servers over the years were not the best, but they were let go. In the town of North East there is not a cleaner, nicer, more consistent restaurant that puts out high quality delicious food.

With the reviews getting better on this establishment, we gave it a shot. Our first, and last shot. The service was incredibly slow. Drinks took 10-15 minutes, and not just alcoholic beverages. Items were missed from our order. We tried the calamari appetizer and were pleasantly surprised. The calamari was well seasoned, and the sauce which accompanied it was unique and good. I can't say whether it was a commercially produced sauce, but it was a unique pairing. The prices were a bit high for the area in my opinion. I am not familiar with the area enough to know what was in this location before, but the design of the restaurant is very strange. The walls are lined with shelves with liquor and wine. As other reviewers have stated, I assume the location doubles as a liquor store. Here is some advice.....If you are going to charge $20+ for an entree, don't double as a liquor store.

I agree with Erin A. Not sure what's going on with all the bad reviews here. We've been here a half dozen times and have always been happy. We always sit at the bar though, so maybe our service is a little quicker not dealing with a server? But they always look busy with the tables to me. Maybe now that they've been open a while, and depending on what time of day you go could make a difference?? But I can only comment on what I have experienced there. (BUT: To be honest the 2nd time I was there (couple years ago), the female bartender thought that finding the perfect music on the radio was more important than my empty drink glass sitting on the bar for at least 10 minutes while I was eating my dinner. I called her a few times, and she kept telling me to hold on. Haven't seen her since, so hopefully she is gone now). Ever since that one incident, I've never had any complaints. All the bartenders have been men since??? The food is really good, and I love how the menu is different from anything else in N.E. (in my opinion). Yes, it's a little pricey (but no more than the seafood places in N.E. anyway), but it's different! So I don't mind paying for different choices and good food. I took my visiting friend (from Philly area) here for her first time. She got the Beef Wellington. She is STILL talking about it a month later! I had a try of it and it was the MOST tender steak I've EVER had in my life (and I don't really eat steak). She was in Heaven, and now she can't wait to come back to visit so we can go there again. She loved everything about the place. Which made me feel great considering it was MY idea to take her there. Our bartender was Joel, he is so friendly and offered us exceptional service to us the whole time. It really made for a wonderful experience for her (and me). Don't let these reviews keep you from trying this place. EVERYONE has different expecations of places, and some people are just NEVER happy. So give it a try! We're locals, and we like the quiet, nice atmosphere of this place. Keep up the good work!

My husband and I have been looking forward to trying this restaurant since it opened. After all the parking lot is always packed and we've heard some good rumors circulating around town regarding the great tasting food. We finally went there for dinner, service was slow but not unbearable. The food was tasteless and overcooked; honestly the menu seemed over priced for the product that was served to us. My husband ordered the crab cake, and I ordered the recommended stuffed flounder. The fish was rubbery and my husband and I both agreed we had little to no crab in either one of our dishes, it was mostly all filler. Frozen butter served with the luke warm bread, empty garlic infused olive oil bottle at the table, just one thing after another ... This place was a huge let down, and we certainly will not be returning.

These 1 star reviews are unfair. It's a cute little spot with a large, creative menu. Prices are fair and the food is really good. I would give it four stars but ill give it five to compensate for the unfair 1 star reviews.

Ate here for lunch today after a hectic morning at work with one co-worker. We, along with one other couple, were the only two in the restaurant, so the service was great. From outside, does not look like much, but you really should go in and see what they have to offer. Atmosphere inside was nice - not too bright, not too dark, well decorated. They seem to double as a liquor store? I had the crab and artichoke dip - phenomenal - served with toasted garlic bread. Also had a drink (some sort of georgia iced tea with a bunch of booze in it) - was good, and the pour was perfect. Had the crab burger (all crab today!) which was 4 oz. of crab meat on top of a beef burger. Was excellent and would definitely get it again. Fries were also delicious. Was 50 bucks for 2 of us (2 drinks, an app, and 2 sandwiches), so yes, a little pricey, but overall nice, and I'll DEFINITELY be back.

Ate here tonight and enjoyed the food. Had caprese salad first and it was pleasant with a good tomato. Could use more olive oil, but was good. Beef Wellington was yummy and worth the price. It is not the most expensive thing on the menu and it was definitely worth it. The sauce was great, as was the puff pastry. The wine selection is fabulous. The service was good and attentive. Definitely worth a visit. The atmosphere lacks, but the food was great and that is what really matters.

Went here for an early Mother's Day dinner. The food was ok but the service was horrible. While we sat with no food on our table the tables around us were all getting fresh bread and butter. When we asked our waiter about that he said he could bring some but it's not automatically included. Translated, he forgot. We had to ask to see the wine list and martini menu. Everything took forever. We ordered an appetizer to share, bacon wrapped scallops. We got 3 bacon wrapped scallops for $14. 3 really? My wife order the unwined wellington, med. rare. What she got was well done. $26 for that. I ordered the stuffed flounder described as 2 fillets stuffed with crab imperial. What I got was 2 fillets so thin they couldn't be stuffed with anything, wrapped around a small ice cream scoop of crab imperial. Took 90 minutes for dinner. If I knew they had to go catch the flounder I would not have ordered them.

Met some friends for happy hour and what a great place. Service was great along with the drinks and the appetizers were outstanding. My husband and I can't wait to go back for dinner. Definitely a must go to.

I have been waiting to try this place for a while now since I read about it on Facebook. What a jaw dropping experience. I'm from New York City -- so I've been to enough amazing restaurants to say that unWined is right up there with them! From the Brie cheese appetizer to the crab Napoleon, we just got more and more impressed. The service was impeccable and the entrees were well proportioned at just the right price. I wish we had one in New York. I was sure to taste everything everyone got so I really got a feel for the whole menu and I was floored!

This was my second time at Unwined. The first time was when it first opened. Service was awful, but the food was good. I had been told that it was better, so decided to give it another try. I shouldn't have. The service was STILL awful AND this time the food was bad. The mashed potatoes were lumpy, which I usually like, but the lumps of potatoes were huge and way undercooked. The crab cake had absolutely no flavor. We had to ask for bread and it tasted like it was freezer burnt. Quite a disappointment!

The service here is excellent. We started out with Crab Bisque which in our opinion was the best we ever had. The portion size on the Bisque was amazing so maybe opt for a cup rather than bowl. When we got around to ordering their menu is so freaky with off the wall additions of fruit it made it hard to choose. I had their Nachos and it was a dry type which wasn't good. My Fiance had Alfredo and wasn't too impressed either. They have tons of wine and it is a neat place but doubt I would do a main dish here again.

This place needs to figure out what it wants to be. When we first walked in it looked like a gas station with lit coolers of beer left of the door. Walking in a little further it looks more like a sports bar with several monitors showing ESPN channels mounted high on the walls aound a bar and a pool table. Then, looking right, it looks like a budget restaurant with patio furniture and cheap flooring. Sit down and there's a wall of wine for people to peruse and purchase. Question: What is this place which has beer coolers, a pool table, multiple televisions around a bar, patio furniture for tables across from a wine wall, and $18 Brie (which was horrible BTW)? Answer: a restaurant with an identity crisis striving to be anything relevant to a clientele seemingly too oblivious to notice.

2nd time to this place. First off they no longer are accepting any restaurant.com coupons. We were told "it was either stop accepting them or close our doors." We stayed for dinner anyway. We should have left! Service was poor, inattentive and there were 3 mistakes with the check. Food is no way worth near the price they charge and not prepared correctly. I ordered a steak, medium must not be ordered there much because it came out well done. The tuna app we shared was also way over cooked. I won't say much about the price of the wines and beers because I know that there is big mark up on those items in all restaurants. They do have a good selection of wine and beer, that's why they are getting a star. There are much better places in NE to eat.

I'm a regular here. The food and drinks here are quite good, and while some consider it pricey, its well within the norm for the area. The wine and martini selection are top notch.

Above average wine list, phenomenal chef! Their events are worth attending. Needs a little help in the atmosphere department. Feels like you're in a box, no ambiance. But food is high quality, fresh ingredients and the wine and cocktail list is unique....especially for this area.

Overall, just okay. The menu promised "CRAB BISQUE - Our house specialty, creamy crab bisque loaded with jumbo lump Maryland Blue Crab." Our bowls of crab bisque were over salted and had more lumps of onion and celery than crab. Very disappointing!! Our server noticed that we weren't eating our soup and we told her the problem, she simply replied "they just made it, the kitchen had run out and when I turned your order in they whipped this up real fast" We didn't eat more than two spoonfuls it was so bad. They didn't offer to remove the charge from our ticket. The crab cake sandwich was very tasty even though the crab cake had been flattened to the point that it looked more like a pancake than a crab cake. There are better restaurants in the area, I won't be returning to Unwined.

Had dinner here for the second time and again the food was above average with a great server. I do not normally get desert but opted for the bread pudding with southern comfort sauce, it was a huge sucess with everyone in our group of 8 taste testing. Also if you are a craft beer drinker theg have an excellent selection.
